Best of the Best Music Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") and these official rules are governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Open and offered only to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Guam) who are not minors (as defined by the state of primary residence) at time of entry. Employees and directors of Universal Music Group Distribution, A Division of Universal Music Group Corp. (“Sponsor”), its parent company, trustees, subsidiaries, franchisees, affiliates, licensees, advertising, promotion and production agencies, any companies who are performing work at Sponsor’s request, and Web masters and Web suppliers (and their respective IRS dependents, immediate family members [children, spouse, parents, siblings] and individuals residing in their same household) are not eligible to participate. All federal, state, local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited, taxed, licensed or restricted by law.

PROMOTION PERIOD. This Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 p.m. PT on 12/19/12 and ends at 5:59:59 p.m. PT on 1/7/13 ("Sweepstakes Period"). This Sweepstakes is sponsored and administered by Sponsor. Participants agree to be bound by these official rules and Sponsor’s final decisions.

ENTER ONLINE ONLY BY: Accessing the link to the sweepstakes page at http://umg.fm/12pO9eM during the Sweepstakes Period and follow the online instructions to log in to your Facebook account. Once logged-in, ‘Like’ the Facebook page and complete the required fields of the entry form. After doing so, you are officially entered into the pool of eligible contestants. If you are not a registered Facebook member, you must first join Facebook to receive a personal profile page. You may register as a Facebook member for free at www.facebook.com. Limit one entry per person/email. Sponsor’s computer will be the official time clock for the Sweepstakes. Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different e-mail or wireless accounts or any other methods will void all of that person's entries and that person will be disqualified.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY NO LATER THAN 5:59:59 P.M. PACIFIC TIME ON 1/7/13.

DRAWINGS. Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. The random drawing will be held on or about 1/8/2013 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time. Odds of being randomly selected are determined by the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. All entries and their content become Sponsor’s property and will not be acknowledged or returned.

WINNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAXES, FEES, SURCHARGES, INSURANCE, AIRFARE, HOTEL, GROUND TRANSPORTATION, MEALS, GRATUITIES, PERSONAL EXPENSES, INCIDENTALS AND OTHER EXPENSES NOT EXPRESSLY LISTED ABOVE.

Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable, except to a surviving spouse residing in the same household. No substitution allowed except, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Prize elements may not be separated.


Potential winners will be notified by email on or about 1/8/13. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [1] potential winner’s failure to respond to notification within three (3) days after its transmission; [2] the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; [3] the return of the Prize as undeliverable; [4] potential winner’s failure to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; [5] potential winner’s failure to be available to validly claim any prize before January 30, 2013; [6] potential winner’s failure to claim the Prize within ten (10) days after it is sent and [7] any other non-compliance with the Official Rules. In the event of a prize forfeiture, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited prize to an alternate winner. Any portion of the Prize not accepted or used by the winner will be forfeited.

If selected as a prize winner, prize winner agrees, except where prohibited, to grant (and agree to confirm that grant in writing) permission for Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, franchisees, affiliates, licensees, agents, and those acting under its authority, to use his/her name, entry contents, visual and audio likeness, biographical data and statements for any purpose, including but not limited to any commercial or publicity purpose, in perpetuity and throughout the universe, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide and on the Internet and/or World Wide Web, without further notice, review, approval or additional compensation or consideration.

GENERAL CONDITIONS. Sponsor, its Internet, product and service providers, and their respective parent companies, trustees, subsidiaries, franchisees, affiliates, licensees, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors and advertising, promotion and production agencies (collectively, the "Sweepstakes Entities") make no warranties, express or implied.

A PRIVACY STATEMENT. By participating in this Sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree that Sponsor may collect the personal information submitted by you, and use the information pursuant to the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor is collecting your personal information solely for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and will be kept only as long as required by law. Your personal information will not be retained by Sponsor when this Sweepstakes concludes.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. By entering, participants, their agents, assigns and successors release and shall hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability for any costs or expenses resulting from entry in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity or travel and from any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property damage caused by any prize or resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, quality, use or misuse of any prize, or any portion of any prize, or parts thereof; or participation in this Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity, including but not limited to any travel to or attendance at the Concert; or for any printing, production, typographical, human or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize; and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any kind of computer transmission, electronic, hardware, internet, software, network, servers or providers, technical, satellite, cable or telephone interruption, unavailability, malfunctions, or failures; or for any virus, worms or bugs; or for unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; or for jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions; or for any damaged, destroyed, delayed, garbled, illegible, incomplete, unintelligible, late, lost, misaddressed, misdirected, non-delivered or stolen entries; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture any such information; or for any other errors of any kind, whether electronic, human, mechanical, printing, production or technical or other causes. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account used at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account subscriber.

If, in Sponsor’s exclusive judgment, this Sweepstakes becomes compromised in any way by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right to modify or withdraw the Sweepstakes offer, cancel any method of entry and/or select the prize winners from all eligible entries received prior to the action taken.

DISPUTES. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Los Angeles County, California, having jurisdiction.
